Finca Martelo Reserva - Rioja (Spain) - 2015

Representing the traditional blend of the vineyard. The winemaker selected the Martelo, Camino de la Iglesia, and Las Cuevas estates for this wine. Their vines are over sixty years old and are spread across north-south facing slopes, with good sun and wind exposure, which allows for balanced ripening and magnificent condition.
After alcoholic fermentation, 100% of the wine underwent malolactic fermentation in barrels for 64 days in new American and French oak barrels, with weekly bâtonnage. It was aged for 24 months in 80% American oak and 20% French oak barrels. The wine was bottled in January 2019.

Its structure and elegance make it a perfect companion in the kitchen. With a long finish, it pairs perfectly with braised and roasted meats, as well as game and cured meats.
